Course Three Final Cake!

I did it! I made it through my third Wilton course. I did my final class cake tonight--my first tiered cake! I love it and can't wait to see what I can create when I really have more practice! The petunias and drop flowers were made in royal icing. The bottom tier is devil's food and the top tier is yellow cake. All covered in vanilla buttercream and homemade marshmallow fondant.

Little Bundles of Joy

I made lots of little fondant babies, nestled under pink blankets for my sister's friend Sara's "comfy & cozy" baby shower. They were a big hit! I still have my favorite little baby sitting on the dining room table.

My first fondant cake

Course Three brought my first venture into the world of fondant. What fun to work with! Here's my first cake from this class...a fondant-covered gift cake. Lemon cake with vanilla buttercream and fondant.
